Borderlands 4 Bans Anyone Questioning "Gendered" Language

Friend of the channel, Doctor Disaster, just tipped me off to something that should have every Borderlands fan raising an eyebrow. That is, if there are any left at this point, because sheesh (but we'll get to that towards the end of this article, hang tight lol). According to a German gamer who shared his experience across several messages, Gearbox appears to be going full woke with how they are approaching the Borderlands 4 launch, and they're now apparently banning anyone who even dares to ask questions about it.
Here’s what happened
This player, clearly a pretty big fan of the series and invested enough to engage in the Steam forums, asked an extremely fair & straightforward innocent question: Would Borderlands 4 use “gendered language” in the German translation the same way Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands did?

For context, in German, words like “Bäcker” (baker) have masculine, feminine, and generic forms. But some of these ridiculous recent woke language pushes stemming from marxism and communistic rooting, have tried to force changes like “Bäcker*innen” to represent all genders, similar to how English-language activists want to replace “mankind” with “humankind” or “peoplekind.”

The gamer simply wanted to know if this kind of ideological language change would be used again—and if so, could it be turned off?

Instead of a clear answer, he got warnings. Then temporary bans. And eventually… a permanent ban from the Borderlands 4 Steam Community Hub.
Yes, really...

Despite trying to go through official support channels - including 2K Support - this particular gamer was told, in polite corporate speak, that no one could help him. Steam forum decisions, apparently, are untouchable. The posts were flagged as “spam,” even though they were repeated only because Gearbox refused to answer. So let’s call it what it really was: a silencing tactic. Just look at how robotic and careless this repetitive reply he received was:

This is how the woke machine works. It doesn’t debate. It censors. And if this level of sensitivity over a basic, reasonable question is any indication of the direction Borderlands 4 is going, then fans are in for another ideological lecture disguised as a looter shooter.
If asking whether forced gender-speech will be used in a localized version of the game is now a bannable offense, it’s no longer about inclusion...No... it’s about control.
And some could argue, it always has been. This is on top of how Gearbox recently came under fire for once again changing their logo to pride colors pandering to a certain segment of the community, in the face of men's health awareness month while also giving away what amounts to basically malware with their updated EULA TOS that grants access to pretty much your entire PC... That didn't go over well with most PC gamers.
Stay tuned. Because if this is how Gearbox handles pre-release discussion, you can bet the final product will be loaded with the same politically correct nonsense we’ve come to expect from the DEI-driven industry.
Don't worry though, I'm sure CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, will step on a few more rakes before launch anyways... Like when the price point finally gets announced and most likely comes out at that $80 hahaha...
Oh boy. This release outta be... something.

Borderlands 3 panned by fans for terrible characters and writing. Tales from the Borderlands 2 was a failure. Telling fans they aren't real fans if they won't spend $80 on their game. The movie bombed. Spyware found in their most successful game.
What goodwill do they honestly think they have to gamble on telling their fanbase what to do?
To ANY company out there. If you are selling something, you need a market for it. You can't sell something nobody wants, and you won't sell something if you piss off your customers. If you go to war, you aren't going to win, you can be beaten by your enemies simply doing nothing. Your customers give you the resources you need…
So...the guy asking questions who was banned—he's not still planning to support the game, is he? Because if so, then he is 100% part of the problem and I have zero sympathy whatsoever for his plight. In fact, I probably would have checked out at about the second run-around myself. Gamers have GOT to start formulating bigger brain cells. It's the only way we see anything change.
Pitchford is enough of a reason to avoid anything from Gearbox.
