In the ever-expanding realm of video games, enthusiasts continuously scour the intricate mechanisms of gameplay for hidden gems, secrets, and yes, even glitches. A recent discovery by Redditor USBdongle6727 has turned heads in the gaming community. They have unveiled an item duplication glitch in the latest entrant of the storied franchise, 'The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom'.
This glitch, quite remarkable in its simplicity, permits players to duplicate their inventory items, thus granting an unconventional advantage during the game. Let's dive into the particulars of this fascinating discovery and see how this glitch can be reproduced:
Steps:
Have the item you want to dupe in the last slot of your materials tab (can be accomplished by dropping it and picking up again)
Jump off a small ledge and paraglide
Enter menu and hold an item that has a quantity of 1 followed by the item that you want to dupe in the last slot of your inventory.
Exit menu and reenter menu. The quantity 1 item will be dropped but the duped item will stay in your inventory. So hold another quantity 1 item followed by desired duped item again.
Repeat.
Disclaimer: Doing more than 4 cycles of this in a single glide may lead to some items on the floor disappearing due to the asset limit of ~21 items. Also, make sure the desired dupe item is in the last slot in your inventory otherwise the glitch will take away items from the item slot to the right of your duped item.
At the time of writing, Nintendo has not patched the glitch. It remains uncertain whether the company will in future updates or let it stay as an easter egg for players to discover, but seeing how easy this one is to do, chances are, it'll be gone soon.
